Texas Hold'em
Texas Hold'em is the most widely recognized and played poker variant in casinos worldwide. Players receive two private hole cards, followed by community cards revealed in stages: the flop (three cards), the turn (one card), and the river (final card). With five community cards and two personal cards available, players form their best five-card hand using any combination of their cards and the board.
The strategic depth of Texas Hold'em derives from position, hand selection, and pot odds calculation. Early position players require stronger hands due to acting first, while late position players can play wider ranges. Understanding the mathematical probability of completing draws and the implied odds from future betting rounds forms the foundation of proficient play.
